Elias Tsaoussis’ focus of work includes corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, real estate law, commercial agreements, international trade law, consumer protection and personal data protection. He has gained extensive experience by representing domestic and foreign investors and developers in a wide range of important projects in Greece and provides assistance, on a regular basis, to local members of multi-national groups.

Elias’ publications and academic activities include the following:

  • Contributor of the issue “Investing Across Borders” released by World Bank with analyses on the legal framework and restrictions in relation to foreign direct investments in Greece.
  • Article titled “How to Attract Foreign Investment” in ‘Acquisition International’ magazine, October 2011.
  • Article titled “Startups and Venture Capitals” in the business magazine “Epixeirisi”, October 2015.
  • Sole speaker at the two days seminar organized by NB-Congress in February 2016 with title “Development and Finance of Startups and Entrepreneurship”.
  • Speaker at the conference organized by SAE&EPE in March 2016 with subject “New Forms of Business Finance”.
  • Speaker at various seminars and conferences regarding personal data protection and GDPR compliance.
  • Article titled “Four controversial issues arising from the implementation of GDPR” in the business magazine “Epixeirisi”, October 2020.
  • Sole speaker at the seminar organized by NB-Congress in April 2021 with title “Start ups and Finance Tools – International Practice & the Greek legal framework”.
  • Article titled “The new European Framework for Equity Crowd Funding” in the legal magazine “Sinigoros”, December 2021.

Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Elias worked as an associate lawyer at Roussos & Hatzidimitriou Law Firm in Piraeus and at Petropoulos & Partners Law Firm in Athens.


Elias has been a member of the Athens Bar since 1997.  He obtained his law degree from the School of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace and also holds a LL.M. in Maritime and International Trade Law from the University of London – King’s College.
