Aristidis (Aris) Anghelakos is a highly regarded litigator and has extensive experience in a wide spectrum of civil, commercial, criminal and administrative law matters (including tax disputes) and arbitration. Aris is also involved in a broad range of non-contentious work involving corporate law, commercial and civil law, labour law, competition law, administrative law. His clients comprise of banks, commercial centres and hypermarkets, pharmaceutical companies, hybrid seeds and agricultural products entities, hotels, shipping enterprises, security services, shipyard and energy sector entities.
Aris is the author of "Notes on Criminal Special Law" based on Professor N. Androulakis' lectures) and a co-author of the chapter on Greece in Property in Europe-Law and Practice.
Prior to joining the firm in 1994, Aris worked for numerous years at the Law Firm of M. Papaconstantinou, where he worked for clients involved in the fields of cement production, cruises, public transport, ship repairs, auto dealers.
Aris has been a member of the Athens Bar since 1977. He received his law degree from the Law School of the University of Athens. Aris holds a DEA (Diplôme d'études approfondies) on Public Law and Compared Administrative Law from the University of Paris II – Pantheon. He was also a trainee (Stagiaire) in the Greek Supreme Administrative Court (Greek Council of State).
