Experienced Lawyer for Shipping
PPT Legal is looking for an Experienced Lawyer to join its Shipping practice at its Piraeus office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in shipping transactional work, with a particular focus on ship sale and purchase transactions and shipping finance.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of domestic and cross-border shipping transactions, advising clients on complex sale and purchase deals, financing arrangements and related maritime matters.
YOUR ROLE
As a Lawyer in our Shipping team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services and commercially focused legal advice, while ensuring the efficient management of transactions and meeting client expectations; also, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, advising on ship sale and purchase and financing arrangements, conducting legal due diligence, and liaising with clients, counterparties and other stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of client relationships and the continued growth of the practice.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate is a commercially minded and motivated lawyer with strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills and experience.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- An LL.B. or equivalent law degree.
- Admission to practise law in Greece.
- At least three years of relevant experience in shipping law, particularly in ship sale and purchase transactions and shipping finance.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Experience in charterparties and other maritime contracts will be considered an advantage.
