Alexandra Mitsokali has a wide ranging practice specializing in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, takeovers and corporate reorganizations, shareholders’ disputes, commercial law and contracts, civil law, commercial disputes and international arbitration, real estate, UCITS cross-border registration and compliance and employment law.

Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Alexandra had the opportunity to gain valuable experience training at the Commercial Bank of Greece, the Greek National Commission for Human Rights and the Office of the Greek Ombudsman as well as a major law firm based in Athens.

Alexandra has been a member of the Athens Bar since 2005. She obtained her law degree and a master’s degree in Commercial Law (LLM) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also received a Diploma on Public International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law.

Alexandra is a co-author of the Greek Chapter of the European Lawyer “International Commercial Property Reference Book” for 2010, of ‘Getting the Deal Through - Anti-Corruption Regulation – Greece’ in the Global Competition Review for 2008 and 2010 and of the “Shopping Centre Development - The Planning and Building Permit Process across Europe” published in 2012 by the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is fluent in Greek and English and also speaks French.

• Multiparty investment dispute brought before arbitration in ICC involving major industrial client (2012-to date).
• Public tender for the acquisition of a majority participation in the share capital of Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A. Advising the successful bidder (2013).
• Legal counsel to SONAE SIERRA on corporate and real estate matters (2006-2013).
• Advising a major industrial client in relation to liquidation proceedings and related insolvency matters (2012).
• Advising the largest cable producers in Greece on the acquisition of FULGOR Greek Electric Cables S.A. (2011).
• Shareholders’ dispute of the leading hotel and resorts group in Greece (2010).
• Advising Marfin Investment Group on the acquisition/privatization of Olympic Airways (2009).
• Merger of two major telecommunication providers (2009).
• Advising Solfocus Inc. of USA on corporate issues and corporate restructuring matters (2009).
• Advising an international J/V in its offer for the acquisition of Phosphoric Fertilizers Industry SA. (2009).
• Advising Rockspring on the sale of assets from the Praktiker portfolio to Eurobank Properties REIC (presently GRIVALIA) (2009).
• Advised MIG in acquiring an indirect shareholding interest in two major private clinics and a major insurance company (2008).
• Listing of MIG REIC in the Athens Exchange (2008). • Advising a major US renewable energy company on J/V and corporate matters (2008).
• Advising Rockspring on the share deal acquisition of the Praktiker portfolio in Greece (2007).
• Advising Goldman Sachs Funds on cross-border filings and registrations for various UCITS (2006-to date).
• Advising major Finnish energy provider on corporate and tax issues relating to their investment in energy sector projects throughout Greece (2007).
