Theodora Papadopoulou has broad experience advising major international clients on real estate, mergers & acquisitions, commercial contracts and other matters of corporate law. Theodora’s field of expertise includes advising clients with subsidiaries or branch offices in Greece and on legal aspects of their business, carrying out litigation work in relation to commercial and civil law disputes and assisting high-end individuals and foreign investors in obtaining residence permits and concluding real property projects in Greece.

Theodora joined the firm in 2007 after working and training for a number of years at “Raikos, Niforopoulou & Partners” Law Office.

Theodora has been a member of the Athens Bar since 2005. She obtained her law degree from the law school of the University of Athens. Theodora is a contributor of the issues “Investing Across Borders” released by World Bank. She is fluent in Greek and English and also speaks French and has basic knowledge in German.

Experience, key assignments and notable projects

• Advising on important real estate and M&A transactions, as well as the day-to-day attendance (corporate matters, employment matters, issuance of residence permits, etc.) of several major clients of our firm (Marubeni Corp., SONY, SCHINDLER Hellas, OLAYAN Group, SONAE SIERRA, Atlantica Hotels, Gain Jet Aviation, Polisan Hellas, etc.).
• Advising Diorama Investments Hellenic Growth Fund in relation to the investment in Atlas Tapes S.A. in 2015.
• Advising Xio Partner (HK) Ltd of China for the acquisition of Compo Hellas S.A. in 2015.
• Advising the Hellenic Republic Asset Fund in relation to properties in 2014.
• Advising and conducting the due diligence in relation to for the Public Tender for the Afantou Property in Rhodes 2014.
• Advising and conducting the due diligence for the Public Tender for Astir Vouliagmenis in 2013.
• Advising ABBOTT Laboratories Hellas in view of the spin-off of its pharmaceutical business in 2012.
• Conducting the due diligence of BNP PARIBAS PERSONAL FINANCE SA loan portfolio in 2011.
• Advising MIG Real Estate on the due diligence regarding several significant assets throughout Greece, in view of its listing in the Athens Exchange in 2008.
• Conducting the due diligence for Rockspring, a major international fund, on the share deal acquisition of the Praktiker portfolio which comprised several real estate assets throughout Greece, the largest transaction in Greece for 2007 (€165m).
